Which type of Rice quality(Raw/Steamed and Old/New) I should purchase?

- One should purchase Raw quality for household use and Steamed for Hotels and Restaurants. Raw Rice lasts for longer duration as compared to Steamed Rice, Steam is provided for ageing Rice and on cooking provides greater quantity as compared to Raw. Based on cooking freeness one should use Old or New Rice, Old Rice will be more free when cooked as compared to Raw.

How much water should I use with my Rice cooker with different types of Rice?

- It is recommended to use 1 cup of water for 1.5 cups of Rice. Old Rice requires more water as compared to New. It is basically a trial and error method and depends on individual cooking habit.

What are some Hints for best results in my Rice cooker?

- For best results, do not open the unit immediately after the cooking cycle has completed. The Rice should be allowed to settle for several minutes before serving. Do not keep Rice warm for more than 12 hours. For softer Rice, allow the Rice and water to soak in the pot for 10 to 20 minutes before cooking. Do not warm up the Rice again after the cooker is off the stove.

After Rice is cooked, how long does the Rice Cooker need to be kept in the warm position?

- After Rice is cooked, it must be kept in the warm position for 15 minutes.

Why does my Rice Cooker boil over?

- Rice Cookers may boil over. To avoid this, rinse the Rice 3 to 4 times before putting it into the Rice Cooker.
For best result rinse Rice thoroughly with water before cooking.
